Model United Nations {MUN}

Who: Ms. Ambreen

When: Throughout the School Year

Where: Conference locations will be notified of closer to the conference date

Why: To instill a sense of leadership, responsibility, and knowledge of current world issues

NMUN draws a diverse group of informed college/university students and faculty from around the world to address current global issues. Our conferences are experiential learning programs that provide students with a better understanding of the inner workings of the UN and a forum to hone skills in diplomacy, negotiation, critical thinking, compromise, public speaking, writing, and research. NMUN’s New York conferences culminate at UN Headquarters with thousands of students in attendance. 

Math Kangaroo

Who: Available to all students

When: Math Kangaroo testing will be done in October insha'Allah. The Final Examination is in the following March. We plan to hold practice Math Kangaroo sessions every week!

Where: Practice Sessions and Testing will take place at Pillars Preparatory Academy

Why: To encourage and challenge students in the field of Mathematics. 

By inviting students of any national or ethnic origin to the International Competition in Mathematics :

Math Kangaroo we make an effort to:

  • Encourage students to master their mathematical knowledge.
  • Give them confidence in their ability for comprehending mathematics.
  • Help them understand how mathematics applies in nature's laws and human activities.
  • Develop their ability to derive pleasure and satisfaction through intellectual life.
  • Show that mathematical education is significant in every part of the world.
